No other university has designed and delivered online courses exclusively for pro athletes. This isn’t a repackaged college course – it’s an educational experience built around a player’s schedule, goals, and career in professional sports.

Offered by the Center for Sports Leadership and Learning, this fully online program helps MLB teams grow their players into leaders, sharpen decision-making, and build confidence—all without missing a game, workout, or team commitment.

Originally created with the Texas Rangers and now open to all MLB teams, this is your opportunity to invest in your team’s future.

Course Information

Any player or employee of Major League Baseball, the 30 Clubs, and their affiliates who works for MLB and is 18 or older can join a Player Pathway course. You don’t need to apply to college or meet any special requirements to get started. Just bring your curiosity, comfort using a computer, and fluency in English or Spanish.

Each course runs for seven weeks and includes an intro plus weekly modules. Each week, you’ll get access to videos, readings, assignments, and discussion boards.

You can go at your own pace, but we encourage you to dive in and get the most out of it. The more you engage, the more you’ll learn.

These courses also offer a credit-by-exam option and you’ll receive information on how to receive credit after you begin your course.

Credits may apply to undergraduate degree programs.

Yes! You’re welcome to take more than one course.

Fill out the registration form on this page to get started. It’s quick and easy.

You’ll have access to all course materials for the full seven weeks while the course is running. After the course ends, your access will close.
